Conditions we treat

Pressure Injuries & Bed Sores.

Treated at the bedside, at home and in facilities across New York City, Westchester, Nassau, and Suffolk.

What they are

Pressure does the damage. Consistency does the healing.

A pressure injury, what most families call a bed sore, forms when skin and the tissue under it sit against a surface too long without relief. Heels, the tailbone, hips, and the backs of shoulders take the worst of it, and people who cannot shift their own weight, in a bed or a wheelchair, carry the highest risk. In a city where so much care happens in apartments and high-rise facilities, these wounds are common, and they are nobody's fault for asking about late.

Our clinicians stage the wound honestly, treat it at the bedside, and build an offloading and repositioning plan around the actual room, the actual mattress, and the actual people doing the turning. Dressing instructions are written for the home attendant and the daughter, not for another nurse.

When to call

A reddened area that does not fade after the pressure is off. Skin that breaks, blisters, or darkens over a bony spot. Any existing sore that is deeper, wider, or has a smell this week that it did not have last week. You do not need to know the stage. That is our job.
